Second Go 'Round

Approximate Reading Time:1 min. 25 sec.
Todays show had its ups and downs. I feel I started off really bad again. Luckily, its early in the morning, and I have very few listeners and at the end of the show I feel I was strong. I had one guy call in twice (I think it was another DJ, though I dont know who) but he was giving me some pointers on how to be a better DJ in the morning. Be more exciting, make some funny comments or interesting facts, note the weather, the time, and local news, etc. I knew what the caller was saying and I enjoy the criticsm, but I dont know, its only my second show and as Steve says, im "still getting the marbles out of my mouth." Ill get to that when I get a little more experienced. Towards the last 2 hours of the show I had at least 7 or 8 people call me or IM me and tell me how much they enjoyed my set. None of them had any requests, so I take this as that I played music they enjoyed and they had nothing else that I could play that could make them feel any better. This made me very pleased. Besides the fact I might be less than a mediocre DJ on the air, at least listeners dig my music. But im not worried. The music selection is what is important, no one can really learn that, but I can always improve as a DJ.

I find out when my new show is this next weekend. I will no longer be on Tuesday mornings, but I will be sure to let everyone know when my new show is. I hope to be in the afternoon for the fall semester, so that will have its positives and negatives.

I also want to mention to the listeners that I still take requests for my show throughout the week, even when I am not on the air. Send me and email or AIM instant message and ill be sure to play the song during my set and give you a shoutout.

Anyways, enough of that. It took me long enough to write in here anyways. Here is my setlist for the songs I played:
